The premiere of the Taos Shortz Film Festival will be held on November 17th at the Taos Community Auditorium (T.C.A.). Taos Shortz Film Fest
features 28 short films from around the globe, and 3 programs scheduled
with different short films in each. Visiting filmmakers will have a Q
& A after each program.
Show Times are: Program 1: 3pm to 5 pm, Program 2: 6pm to 8pm (not
recommended for children), Program 3: 9pm to 11pm (not recommended for
children)
At the door, Ticket prices are $10.00 for each program, children under 12 are free. $25.00 will buy you an "In and Out" pass, eligible to come and go to
each show as you please. Ticket pre-sales for each program will be
available at Common Thread, 124 E. Bent Street, Taos, at the price of $
8.00 per show. "In and Out" passes are available for $20.00. Pre-sales
start November 1st cash or check only.

"A Short Tale of Xuan"
This is a coming of age story about a young Vietnamese girl from an
immigrant family. Her imagination blends with reality as she navigates
between childhood and adulthood. Student film.

"Folding of Wings"
Folding of Wings is a stop-motion animation highlighting the process
behind garment construction..... Imagine origami draped on the human
body.

Maria"
This film narrates a 9 year-old boys adventure to kiss Maria, his 12
year-old cousin, who comes every summer to his village.

A story of personal sacrifice and hope in Nicaragua. Sandinista members
tell their stories of revolution and a brighter future for a new
Nicaragua.

"Gimme Green"
A humorous look at America's obsession with the residential lawn and

life.

"The Great Escape"
A fictional account of the recent gorilla escape from the Franklin Park
Zoo in Boston. ANIMATION 2 mins.
