 Mexico's Poisoned Rivers Video (3min 22sec): Mexico's Poisoned Rivers - The Mexican government is keen to attract investors from abroad and promote itself as "business-friendly". But Franc Contreras, reporting for Al Jazeera from Mexico, found that many local people feel the authorities are not doing enough to protect them and the environment from the side-effects of industry.
"Mexico likes to consider itself a good place to do business. It's got a large work force and borders the United States which is the world's biggest economy. But as the Mexican government focuses on attracting investors some people feel that little is being done to protect them or the environment from the side effects of industry."
