Former under cover CIA officer Valerie Plame Wilson testified before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee on Friday, March 16, 2007. Ms. Plame believes she was outed as retaliation against her husband, former Ambassador Joseph Wilson, who criticized the Bush administration's prewar intelligence on Iraq.

Her identity was leaked publicly in a syndicated newspaper column by Robert Novak on July 14, 2003, as the wife of former Ambassador Joseph C. Wilson IV and a CIA "operative" named Valerie Plame. Her legal name, however, has been Valerie Wilson since her marriage to Ambassador Wilson in 1998. This testimony sets the record straight on many key issues regarding this gross misuse of Bush Administration power and her 'covert' status at the time of Novak's disclosure.
