Each year, The Taos Mountain Balloon Rally has full schedule of events and a new organization. This year was one of the best years yet. The Balloon Rally Parade began at 1 p.m. Saturday October 28 was greatly expanded from previous years, including The Taos High Marching Band
as well as several other Bands, representatives from many local police and fire Departments will also have entries this year.
Taos Mountain Balloon Rally Board President, Ed Shelton said "This year we are planning on kicking off the rally by bringing tethered balloon rides to a number of area schools. Also we have new event called the Balloomenshine, which is a night where you can come watch the Taos evening sky light up with balloons. We are all very excited about this year's rally".
