'In the Southwest, many of our tribes share an emergence story which tells the story of our struggle to ascend through four different worlds. The first world was fire. A burning mass split from the sun to create Earth. We have given that world the color Red. It is a world opened to the east. The second world was breath, formed from the mists of time. In the pueblos, it is an act of prayer to breathe. We have given this world the color blue...'
