Angel's Nest Video
This excellent Angel's Nest Video (10min, 12sec) features a tour of the Angel's Nest sustainable home in Taos New Mexico made of straw bale, tires, popcans and bottles. This digital video movie gives you real insight into the mind of sustainable developers and helps you to understand why it is so important to everyone that the these common sense ecological ideas are spread widely.

The electricity is generated through wind and solar technology. Rainwater is captured as culinary water and there is a bio-diesel/hydrogen fueling station.

"What does it mean to be an intern at Angel's Nest? Basically what it means is having a great love for the planet and everybody that is living here trying to come up with viable solutions to the next crisis that might happen. So what we're doing to meet that, and stop that, is creating electricity through wind, solar power, and also hydrogen which is the next form of fuel for vehicles and also electricity."

"I've devoted my life to this to try to help save the planet. We here at Angel's Nest are primarily focused on third-world countries because we feel that our system is the solution..., that it would help to eradicate some of the diseases. If you've looked into the New York Times recently they have articles about people dying in Somalia due to flies or AIDS. And all that's basic sanitation. So, we feel very strongly that we have created a solution for this..., incorporating gray-water systems and clean energy systems

Robert Plarr came out here after nine-eleven in 2001 because he heard about the fact that there was a sustainable community out here. So he sat down with his ilfe-partner Victoria Peters, and Mike Reynolds, and they created this house, Angel's Nest. There's straw bale, pounded tires, pop can walls. You'll see inside there's a black water system which is product of our interior hydrological cycle.
