Bush Not Immune Video (4min 58sec): Judge Rules - Bush Doesn't Have Immunity On Broken Laws. "A United States judge has told the Bush administration 'Sorry, but no can do. Your claim of absolute immunity is total and utter crap. Doesn't make any kind of sense. Not founded in the law at all. Not one bit.
"Now, here's what the Bush administration had claimed - Harriet Myers, Josh Bolton, we're working with the president, and since they were top advisers to the president, they have immunity for any conversation they had or might have had with him. So even if they're subpoenaed to Congress they can say 'Nah, I'm not really in the mood to show up."
"This is a different thing that they were claiming. It's called 'Absolute Immunity'. It's called Absolute Immunity by the Bush administration who just made it up out of thin air. Right? And the judge rules that it, here's the funny part, it doesn't exist. His name is, by the way, US District Judge John Bates. And you know who he was appointed by? Of course, oh not a Liberal or a Democrat, appointed by George W Bush..."
