He said, 'Barack Obama, he's a rock star. I love what he's saying about education. I think he will win and I'm anxious to meet him.'

"He continued, 'McCain's a friend of mine but I think he's got a lot of problems. He's been in Congress a long time and you have to make a lot of compromises. So, what's he really stand for? I think he has a lot of problems.'

"And then Murdock went on to say he is cautiously intrigued by Barack Obama and pretty much believes that he'll win in a landslide..."

John Bolton

John Bolton, the former US ambassador to the United Nations, escaped a citizen's arrest Wednesday night as he addressed an audience in Britain. Amy Goodman speaks to George Monbiot, the British activist and columnist who tried to arrest Bolton. Bolton is viewed as a war criminal for his role in helping to initiate the US invasion of Iraq.

John McCain: "I have some news. al-Qaeda is in Iraq--Al-Qaeda--It's called "al-Qaeda in Iraq." And, my friends, if we left, they wouldn't be establishing a base. They wouldn't be establishing a base. They'd be taking a country. And I'm not going to allow that to happen, my friends. I will not surrender. I will not surrender to al-Qaeda."

Barack Obama: "Well, first of all, I do know that al-Qaeda's in Iraq, and that's why I said we should continue to strike al-Qaeda targets. But I have some news for John McCain, and that is that there was no such thing as "al-Qaeda in Iraq" until George Bush and John McCain decided to invade Iraq."
