Several years ago, a group of Sudanese refugees known as "The Lost Boys," came to Mississippi. One of the refugees, Peter Malual, is now a junior at Jackson State University. He shares his story. And Julie Hines Mabus, a former first lady of Mississippi, explains why she decided to become the champion of these refugees.

Scholar Says Botched Law Threatens Patent System Print E-mail

The way judges are appointed to the Board of Patent Appeals almost definitely violates the Constitution, says John Duffy, a professor at George Washington University Law School. Duffy wrote a paper suggesting that the problem could invalidate scores of decisions.

Supplies Trickle into Myanmar; Aid Workers Stalled Print E-mail

Myanmar is struggling to cope with the devastating cyclone that killed at least 22,000 people over the weekend. Souheil Reich, head of a Doctors Without Borders mission in Yangon, says the government is slowly bringing in supplies but is wary about letting foreign workers into the country.
