 Words Are Only Labels
We learn words in our world from a very young age and continue each day adding to our dictionary of knowledge called the brain. Each word learnt is adjoined often by an impulse or stimulated interaction directed by an outside source. How would we then categorize such communication as language except to call it creative interaction?
Think about how words evolve within our world, firstly made from sounds and then built up into words, then into more complex structures to order our life and better understand the other people around us. The real question is, do we really understand them or are we living in a world of miscommunication? |

 Bumper Sticker 'The McKinsey Documents-What is Allstate Hiding?' By Michael Sasso, The Tampa Tribune. Behind the fight between Florida’s insurance commissioner and Allstate Insurance Co. is a mystery that could have come from a John Grisham novel.
Secret Allstate documents - known as the McKinsey documents - allegedly show how the insurance giant intentionally has made low-ball claims offers to its customers for years, netting Allstate billions of dollars in the process.
But the McKinsey documents have never seen the light of day.
Trial lawyers who have sued Allstate in recent years have eagerly sought them, and Allstate reluctantly has turned them over to lawyers under subpoena. However, each time a judge has prohibited lawyers from distributing them to the media and the public under a protective order. |

 Collaboration
What Howard is really trying to get across to us is that through the cooperation, collective action, and interdependencies new forms of wealth can and are being created. In an example he gives early in his lecture he compares this collaboration to prehistoric times when small family units survived by hunting small game like rabbits and other animals. At some point however, hunters gathered together and collaborated to hunt the massive mastodon. His point being that today we can collaborate to conquer bigger “game.” |

 Philosophy of Logic
Unfortunately, sometimes one person may use an ad hominem argument. An ad hominem argument consists of replying to a person's argument by merely attacking the character of the person making the argument. An ad hominem argument is also called a personal attack or an irrelevant insult. For example, if Joe claims that the sky is blue, Bob would be making an ad hominem argument if he responded by saying, "No, it isn't because you are an ugly moron."
An ad hominem is a fallacy, and it is illogical. Worse yet, it may cause the discussion to break down into an unproductive name-calling contest. |

 Mayan Calendar Personally I do not subscribe to the idea the creator created us to wipe us out. But then again with 6 billion people on earth we will all have our own ideas. So how do we find the truth? Well science will show us some truths but certainly not all. Anything based on faith or belief is simply not truth YET, as the definition of faith is a belief in something not yet proven. As this date approaches take notice that people will proclaim the end of the world is here, and that it is only a belief they have come to believe in based on faith. Faith in their religion for the most part, but most certainly it is only faith in a belief they have chosen to believe. |
