Lucid Dreaming Lucid Dreaming: The Skill of Dreaming on Demand by A Turner. Could your dreams make you more successful? Those who have mastered the art of lucid dreaming emphatically say yes! What is lucid dreaming? Is it a random event that you can only wish and hope for, or is it something you can accomplish on demand? And how could dreams have any real impact on your daily life?
Lucid dreaming may sound like some mystical practice reserved for shamans, but all it really means is you become consciously aware that you are dreaming, while you are dreaming. You might remember this happening when you were a child. Some people seem to be able to easily recognize when they are dreaming, others don't even think they dream at all. No one seems to know precisely why there's a difference. But the good news is that lucid dreaming is a skill. You can learn to do it whenever you choose. You don't have to count on luck any longer. |

Ayahuasca Brew Ayahuasca: Spirit of the Sacred Vine by Robert Scheer. Ayahuasca is not a recreational drug for the native cultures that have been using it for as long as anyone can remember. It is as much a sacred spiritual element in their lives as are Holy Communion wafers and sacramental wine within the Christian religion. Except that the spirit with which drinkers of this herbal tea commune is an elemental being that is the essence of this magical plant. Instead of a priest, the shaman who leads an ayahuasca ceremony is known as an ayahuascero.
If it seems strange to think of spiritual beings residing in plants, consider the amazing story of the Findhorn community in the north of Scotland. Residents of Findhorn were able to grow lush gardens of huge vegetables and even tropical plants under impossible conditions: poor, sandy soil, cold temperatures and a shortage of sunlight. They attributed their horticultural success on their contact with plant divas: elemental beings that were the spirits of the plants. < |

Charles Ponzi Ponzi's, Pyramids and other Scams by Bill Thomas. P.T. Barnum, the famous circus entrepreneur supposedly said that "there was a sucker born every minute". However, I believe P.T. was being somewhat generous in his statement because it appears as if there are several born every second. In any event, it seems as if the idea of quick cash turns many of us into completely irrational beings. It doesn't seem to matter how much we are told "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is", many of us still fall prey to the quick buck hustlers and scam artists. I'm not trying to preach because I've been guilty of chasing the fast buck from time to time myself. Why is it that many of us throw caution to the wind when it comes to these money schemes?
Back in the early 1900's, a man named Charles Ponzi was working a plan that made him rich, infamous and later landed him in jail. What this enterprising young man was doing was promising fantastic rates of return to 'investors' willing to hand over their money to him. |

Industrial Hemp Innovative Uses for Hemp by Francesca Black. There are more than 25,000 known uses for hemp. Almost any product that can be made from wood, cotton, or petroleum, including plastics can be made from hemp. Hemp is considered the world's most versatile fiber.
The first drafts of the United States Constitution and the Declaration of Independence were printed on hemp paper. Not surprisingly the original Levi Strauss jeans made for the Sierra gold miners were made of hemp sailcloth. Alice in Wonderland was originally printed on hemp paper. Rudolph Diesel designed his namesake engine to run on vegetable oils, including hempseed oil. Hempseed oil once greased machines. Most paint, resins, shellacs, and varnisheswere made out of linseed and hempseed oils. Much of the bird seed sold in the United States has hemp seed in it. Hemp seed contains about 25% protein of which is more easily digestible than soybean protein. |

Simple T-Shirt The T-shirt Evolution by Claystation3. With every generation movie stars have worn them. Rock stars have shredded them. And celebrities have stripped them. Paris anyone? The t-shirt has been the fashion essential for over 70 years and probably another 70 years and more. So how did it get here and what does the future hold?
Origins - Call to Arms in Short Sleeves
The t-shirts humble beginnings can be traced back to the early 1930's. WWI European soldiers entrenched in mud wore the t-shirt as an undergarment. The advantages of the light cotton underwear were quickly adopted by the US military. By WWII the US Army and Navy had supplied the t-shirt as standard issue. T-shirts at the time were still considered underwear and not worn casually.
1950's - Cult Movie Bad Boys
With the help of a sweating Brando in the 1951 film "A Streetcar Named Desire", and later a brooding James Dean in "Rebel without a Cause" the t-shirt had moved to mainstream youth culture. By the time Elvis had gyrated, the teenage rebellion seed was planted and along with denim jeans the t-shirt had become the hot fashion statement. |
