5 Mobile Phone Tips Helpful Info on Cell Phones Cellular phones (mobile phones) are so useful that they are transforming the world. Here are fine tips and tricks that you may not have heard about before.
First: The Emergency Number worldwide for Mobile is 112. If you find yourself out of the coverage area of your mobile network and there is an emergency, dial 112 and the mobile will search any existing network to establish the emergency number for you, and interestingly, this number 112 can be dialed even if the keypad is locked.
Second: Have you locked your keys in the car? Does your car have remote keyless entry? This may come in handy someday. Good reason to own a cell phone:
If you lock your keys In the car and the spare keys are at home, call someone at home on their cell phone from your cell phone. Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have the person at your home press the unlock button, holding it near the mobile phone on their end. Your car will unlock. Saves someone from having to drive your keys to you. Distance is no object. You could be hundreds of miles away, and if you can reach someone who has the other 'remote' for your car, you can unlock the doors (or the trunk). |

Bill Gates Tax Rate on Wealthiest 1% Falls to 18 year Low. A growing share of the income pie, plus decreasing tax rates to boot. Not a bad deal. Unfortunately, it's a deal that's enjoyed by just 1% of the richest Americans.
That hallowed group enjoyed 22% of the nation's adjusted gross income in 2006, and saw its average tax rate drop to an 18-year low. That's the latest from the IRS' income statistics division.
As election season heats up, the candidates' tax plans will garner more attention, and that statistic could prove an interesting point of departure for debate. Does it make more sense to raise taxes on the nation's wealthiest people or to keep tax rates low in an effort to fuel-inject the economic engine?
Whether you are wealthy, poor, or in-between, your answer to that question will go a long way to revealing how you're likely to mark the ballot come November. -- Andrea Coombes, assistant personal finance editor |

Ball Point Pen The Evolution of the Pen - Ballpoints Take Over! By James R Young. In 1938, the world was just getting close to inventing a fountain pen that met its needs for utility and neatness. In that same year, a Hungarian journalist named Laszlo Biro introduced the world's first ballpoint pen. This started a war between the hard-fought and established reputation of fountain pens as the accepted writing utensil and these new-fangled ballpoint pens that seemed too good to possibly be true.
Biro appreciated the fact that the ink used at the printing press dried quickly, eliminating the need for time-consuming drying processes. He also noticed that this thicker ink was smudge-free. Slow drying times and smudging were the two most significant problems experienced by people using fountain pens. The fountain variety also was in the middle of a long bout of research and development for an ink reservoir that didn't need to be filled constantly. Biro wanted to create a pen that used this printing press ink and have no need for continuous refilling.

Color Wheel The History & Meaning of Color By Gabriele P. Campbell. Colour has a very complex history, rich in folklore and full of symbolic meaning. It plays a major role in design and decorating since it is the single most important ingredient in developing a palette for your home. Colour distinguishes teams, identifies traffic laws, and even affects our emotions. Your own personal and/or ethnic history can influence how you feel about colour, and the way people perceive it is very individual.
Take red, for instance. It is a powerful and warm colour. Fiery, romantic and passionate, red stimulates the appetite and inspires conversation. It is also associated with danger, war, and all things forbidden. In feng shui, red is the colour of wealth, motivation, courage, power and fame. In China, red is the wedding colour, symbolizing fertility. Some may feel energized by red while others may feel angered or irritated. Red is ideal for exercise rooms, kitchens and dining rooms, and makes a wonderful accent colour.
