Libya celebrates the revolution that brought Moammar Gadhafi to power. It was Sept. 1, 1969, when 27-year-old Gadhafi, an army officer, overthrew the king in a bloodless military coup. Aides cite the start of economic reform, and non-government newspapers have been introduced.
