Cenk Uygur ABC News Coverage Of Democratic Debate Was A Disaster Video (4min 29sec). "And I'm here to tell you that ABC's debate was Terrible. It was one of the most embarrassing things I've ever seen in my life, in the political stage.
"I counted. It took Fifty Two Minutes (52 minutes) before they asked a question that had anything to do with the issues.
Fifty two long brutal stupid minutes where they asked about Reverend Wright, who's bitter, who's not bitter, what are they wearing, what are they not wearing, how do they feel about each other, how do they feel about their neighbors, how do they feel about other people in their churches.
If you think I'm kidding. I'm not. Those are direct questions from the debate... |

Code Pink Jim Hightower Video (2min 5sec): Attacking our Freedom to Protest. The Bushites are trying to intimidate us and keep us from speaking our minds -- but the women of CodePink are fighting back.
"George W. likes to claim that global terrorists are out to attack America because 'they hate our freedoms.' But we're learning that it's really the Bushites themselves who hate America's freedoms.
"Retired Army Colonel Ann Wright, and one of America's leading peace activists Medea Benjamin, have recently felt the bullying hate of the Bush Regime. Both women had been very vigorous practitioners of our freedom to speak out in opposition to government policies using those freedoms to protest the war in Iraq." |

Jim Jubak The Retirement Crisis Video (2min 3sec). We all know the housing bust has created an economic slowdown, a home-building depression and a credit crunch.
But no one is talking about the retirement crisis, says Jim Jubak, the Web's #1 investing columnist, even though soon-to-retire boomers have just lost a whopping $2 trillion in home equity.
"I wish someone would recognize that the housing crisis, the home mortgage crisis, the sub-prime crisis, whatever you want to call it, is not just a crisis for the economy. It's not just a crisis for the housing sector. It's a cirsis for retirement.
"People live in homes. It's very true. Housing companies have to sell homes. If they don't sell homes it does indeed take down the economy. But most of American's biggest retirement asset is the house they live in..." |

Huh? Independent Commentator Jim Hightower's Free market hypocrites video (2min 2sec) about Monsanto's selling of 'sexed-up milk' with BGH. "Here's today's provocative question: Why do so many giant corporations *hate* the marketplace? Yes, hate!
"Oh, sure, CEOs loudly proclaim themselves to be free market worshipers piously preaching against the mortal sin of government interference in the awesome workings of the holy market. "But after church, these corporate executives slink into the back alleys of the devilish government to procure subsidies, regulations and other favors to satisfy their profit lust.
"Take the case of Monsanto, Inc. which makes a product known as BGH (Bovine Growth Hormone) that forces cows to produce more milk. Aside from the damage that it does to cows, BGH is essentially an artificial sex hormone. So it can pass through the cows milk to people who drink it. Guess what? Consumers, especially mothers, do not want their families drinking sex hormones. So there's been such a consumer outcry against BGH milk that numerous supermarkets and dairies now offer milk labeled as free of artificial growth hormone so consumers can have a clear choice..."

Bush on Carrier 5th Year Anniversary Of The Iraq War Video (6min 10sec) is a commentary by Cenk Uygur about the fifth anniversary of America's invasion of Iraq and John McCain and the future of all that.
"Welcome to a terrible anniversary. The fifth anniversary of the Iraq War. Five long hard brutal years ago George Bush made the dramatic mistake of starting the war with Iraq.
"And this day every Republican, nearly so, and certainly their Republican candidate, John McCain, says we were absolutely right to go in, what a great thing it was that started this Iraq War, and that we should continue it Indefinitely... |
