Jim Hightower Another well done cartoon video by Jim Hightower "Bush's Backfire" that tells the tale of George Bush's War in Iraq and how it looks now - which isn't actually very good. "Giving credit where credit is due, I concede that Bush's gang of neocon, ideological nut-balls were right when they said that Bush's approach to Iraq would be held up as a model of success in the Middle East. Unfortunately it's become a model of success for Islamic extremists. Start with Iraq itself: before Bush's invasion the country was not a base for Islamic terrorism, but today it's the world's chief training ground for Al Qaeda and other terrorist forces. Meanwhile the Iraqi people have fallen into a disastrous civil war with so 600,000 civilians already killed..." |

John Edwards Video (5min 50sec) of presidential candidate John Edwards speaking with reporters in Iowa about 'rigged government'. "It is rigged. It's rigged by lobbyists in Washington. It's rigged by very powerful interests in Washington. Obvious examples are drug companies, insurance companies, oil companies. Those kind of powerful interests in Washington are having way too much influence..." "There might even need to be some modification of our anti-trust laws to make them more effective in stopping some of these abuses. We believe in capitalism. Capitalism is the heart and soul of the American economy. The capitalist system has to work in a fair way. And there needs to be rules and laws... What's happened now is the whole system is rigged by people who have the power and the money to rig it. And somebody's got to stop them." |

Keith Olbermann Special Commentary Video by Keith Olbermann - Bush & Cheney Resign Now!. "I accuse you Mr. Bush of lying this country into war. I accuse you of fabricating in the minds of your own people a false, implied link between Saddam Hussein and 9/11. I accuse you of firing the generals who told you that the plans of Iraq were disastrously insufficient. I accuse you of causing in Iraq the needless deaths of over 3,586 of our brothers and sons and sisters and daughters and friends and neighbors. I accuse you of subverting the constitution, not in some misguided, but sincerely motivated struggle to combat terrorists. But instead, to stifle dissent. I accuse you of fomenting fear among your people, of creating the very terror you claim to have fought. I accuse you of exploiting that unreasoning fear, the natural fear of your own people who just want to live their lives in peace as a political tool to slander your critics and libel your opponents. |

Michael Moore This very informative video (14min 55sec) shows Michael Moore defending his movie 'Sicko' against Wolf Blitzer of CNN regarding a 'reality check' piece by Sanjay Gupta about the movie. Michael Moore: "That report was so biased. I can't imagine what pharmaceutical company ads coming up after our break here. But ya know, why don't you tell the truth to the American people? I mean I wish that CNN and the other mainstream media would just for once tell the truth about what's going on in this country. Whether it's with health care, I don't care what it is. I mean you guys have such a poor track record. And for me to have to come on here and listen to that crap. |

Iraq for Oil Jim Hightower's video cartoon (2min 1sec) about "Why We're in Iraq". Could it be about getting all of Iraq's oil for large corporations? "A bumper sticker about the Iraq War asked, 'What's our oil doing under their sand?' Of course, Bushites hotly deny that their disastrous war is about grabbing the second largest oil reserve in the world. 'It has nothing to do with oil, literally nothing to do with oil', barked Donnie Rumsfeld. Could it be another one of their lies? Yes. A kabal of klepto-crates including the Bushites, the Iraqi cabinet and the major oil corporations have drafted a new oil law requiring Iraq to open up it's fields to control by western corporations..." |
