Off The Grid Home Save Your Money, Begin to Live off the Grid by John Wickley. You can save a fortune each year just by using renewable sources. Renewable sources are those which are never ending so there is no fear of running out and being left powerless. Common and practically used renewable sources by homeowners are the sun and the wind. By using said sources, many families have begun to live off the grid. Because of the numerous benefits you get when you live off the grid, it's clear to see why this is a growing movement. This is due largely in part to the number of DIY guides which teach you how to create your own energy converting windmills and solar cells on a budget.
Easily the biggest reason why so many homeowners are switching to renewable sources is the money that they can save. The average electricity bill in the United States is over $200 a month. This adds up to almost $2500 each year that the average homeowner can save by using renewable sources which is no small change. Some people have taken the idea of saving money from green renewable energy one step further and turned it into a money making handsome second income for themselves. |

Beauty Why Some Skincare Products Have Got to Go! by Therese Higgins. When was the last time you read or heard an advertisement about skincare products? I'd be willing to bet it was at least in the last hour, if not sooner. As women in the U.S. and around the world continue to demand the most effective skincare, cosmetic companies are tripping all over themselves in order to rush products to the market. This clumsy approach to capitalizing on this demand means that many in the industry are skimping on important research and development. As a result, we're offered a glut of ineffective products that fill our bathroom cabinets and empty our wallets. This is exactly why some skincare products have got to go!
Don't get me wrong. I believe that taking care of our skin is one of the most important things we can do to promote our heath. However, using skincare products that have been hastily produced with cheap synthetic chemicals actually means that we're risking our health. Ingredients such as alcohols, parabens, dioxanes, fragrances and mineral oil, which make up the majority of these products, having nothing to do with healthy skin. So instead of getting the most effective skincare, you're getting a product that was made with the leftovers of a production budget that focused on slick advertising, celebrity endorsements and attractive packaging. |

God Bless Mom Moms and Fall Morning Stress by Molly Gold. Ever wonder where the morning went? From the second you wake up, your mind is ticking off an impossible to do list as you wander through your dark house to get that first load of laundry in, answer early morning emails, and maybe even log a work out. By the time your kids are up, you are way ahead of the game, calmly drinking coffee, fully dressed and making a healthy breakfast for all to enjoy with time to spare for a nice little chat.
Okay—rewind—whose life is that??? While it might be the goal, this is often not the case. So what's a busy mom to do now that the school year is underway and Fall is fast approaching? While it’s true breakfast is the most important meal of the day, for some families, including mine, it’s even more important to make sure we get out the door with the least amount of mayhem and the greatest amount of kindness and consideration. In order to do this, you have to put in a system for people to follow, even better when they are half asleep, including yourself. So use this short list of tools to start each day in neutral instead of overdrive and take note most anything you need to do gets done the night before. That single step is your secret weapon to a smoother day. |

How to Wash Your Hair Properly by Jennifer Summers. Not many are aware of this but there is a right and a wrong to wash your hair. When you do wash your hair properly, you will notice a much better difference in the health and shine of your hair. It is very likely that you have washing your hair incorrectly and as a result you're not getting the really clean and healthy looking hair that we are all capable of having.
Step 1. - Start. Begin by brushing your hair well before you climb into the shower, this will help to loosen dirt, reduce hair breakage and reduce the amount of hair being caught in your plug hole. When you have finished giving your hair a good brush it's time to give your hair a good soaking using warm (not hot) water. For washing your hair properly, it is important that you get all of your hair completely wet, as washing dry hair is difficult. |

Fall Planting What to Plant in the Fall By Louanne Baelde. Many different types of seeds can be planted in the fall. Black-eyed Susans, daisies, pansies, snapdragons, poppies, and bachelor buttons are just to name a few.
Plant garlic in the fall, as it loves the winter. Garlic is not difficult to grow as it's not very vulnerable to pests. The very cold winter makes the garlic even more concentrated and flavorful. The more snow cover, the better. You don't plant garlic from seed, but from a garlic clove. One garlic clove grows into one garlic bulb. The garlic bulb will grow underground, a lot like an onion.
Trees or shrubs are also great to plant in the fall because the cooler weather allows the roots to take, while hot weather dries them out. Decorate your garden area with a few flowering shrubs.
Bulbs are fantastic to plant in the fall. Planting bulbs in the fall will create a garden of lasting memories. Many will bloom every spring for years to come. Bulbs are great to give as decorated boxed gifts. They represent eternal happiness and make a lovely addition to almost any garden. Try planting tulips and hyacinths. These need some cold weather to bloom properly. |
