Paul Ryan: Here's my plan to help Republicans lose in November. Who's with me?
Earlier this week, GOP leadership convened a conference call for its rank-and-file members. According to a source on the call who was not authorized to speak on its content, nearly every person who spoke complained that they were getting hammered at home on Medicare, looking to leadership to figure a way out of the political jam."Political jam." That sure is a nice way of saying "screwed," isn't it? That's why House Speaker John Boehner had to have an emergency phone call with those nervous Republicans to assure them that Ryan doesn't really ruin their chances of reelection.
But even the nervous Republicans can't make up their minds about whether the guy who ruins their chances of reelection might be good news for them after all:
The complainants were quick to voice their support and enthusiasm for adding Ryan, who they called a leader, to the ticket.Yep, that Ryan, he's a real leader. And he's going to lead them straight to defeat in November.
No wonder they're nervous.
