JFK Warns Press About Secret Societies

E-mail Print PDF

President John F. KennedyListen to this incredible audio recording of a speech made by JFK before the American Newspaper Publishers Association where he warns the press about the secret societies that are the real power in global affairs.

"The very word "secrecy" is repugnant in a free and open society; and we are as a people inherently and historically opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths and to secret proceedings. We decided long ago that the dangers of excessive and unwarranted concealment of pertinent facts far outweighed the dangers which are cited to justify it.

Even today, there is little value in opposing the threat of a closed society by imitating its arbitrary restrictions. Even today, there is little value in insuring the survival of our nation if our traditions do not survive with it. And there is very grave danger that an announced need for increased security will be seized upon by those anxious to expand its meaning to the very limits of official censorship and concealment.

That I do not intend to permit to the extent that it’s in my control. And no official of my Administration, whether his rank is high or low, civilian or military, should interpret my words here tonight as an excuse to censor the news, to stifle dissent, to cover up our mistakes or to withhold from the press and the public the facts they deserve to know.

Video (4min 2sec): Fox News Will Attack Obama for Four Straight Years.

"Remember when they used to go back at Clinton? And everything was Clinton's fault.

And they even went back to Carter. And they even went back to FDR during this whole thing, and said it's all their fault. B

ut now Karl's thinking ahead, right? He doesn't have to blame the Democrats in the past. We can blame the Democrats in the future. Right?

"It's innovative. You've gotta give him that, right?

But the important point here is: you think it's over after the election, if Obama wins? IT'S JUST GETTING STARTED. They're gonna pile on everything on his head.

They're gonna pretend that Iraq was his fault. They're gonna pretend that Afghanistan was his fault. They're gonna pretend the market meltdown was his fault. They're gonna try to rewrite history. And this is just the first shot that been fired here by Karl Rove..."
