His philosophy emphasized personal and governmental morality, correctness of social relationships, jutice and sincerity. These values gained prominence in China over other doctrines, such as Legalism or Taoism during the Han Dynasty (206 BC220 AD). Confucius’ thoughts have been developed into a system of philosophy known as Confucianism. It was introduced to Europe by the Jesuit Matteo Ricci, who was the first to Latinise the name as “Confucius.”

Chinese Hackers Target Indian Government

Chinese Hackers?Cyber security researchers and analysts have uncovered the existence of a spy network based in China that was used to steal sensitive, classified government documents from India - as well data from the Dalai Lama's office and the United Nations.

The "Shadow Network", as this network is now known, has been traced to two people living in Chengdu, China.

China is largely believed to possess a Cyber Warfare Doctrine that is designed to achieve global "electronic dominance" by 2050. With a yearly budget of $55 million allotted for it and over 10,000 hackers working in tandem, China is second only to U.S. when it comes to cyber snooping prowess.

Video: Machu Picchu reopens in Peru

Machu Picchu ReopensOne of the world's most treasured archaeological sites - the Machu Picchu in Peru - has formally re-opened after it was closed for two months following heavy rains and landslides in January that destroyed access to the 15th century Inca site.

It the most visited site in Latin America and the source of 90 per cent of Perus tourism income.

Roger Wilkison reports on the joyful reopening of what has often been referred to as "The Lost City of the Incas."

US Senate Wants to Punish China for Yuan

The Chinese Yuan artificially valuedFacing election-year pressure over unemployment, US senators have introduced legislation that would impose tough new penalties on China if it failed to revalue its currency.

The legislation, which enjoys support from both sides of the political aisle, would punish currency manipulation as an unfair subsidy and could trigger a set of retaliatory US action.

The move came as lawmakers in Washington stepped up criticism of China ahead of November mid-term US elections, accusing Beijing of securing an unfair edge in trade by keeping the yuan artificially low.

It also follows Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao strong statement at the weekend that Beijing would resist any foreign pressure for a stronger yuan.
