The Awesome World Counting Clock.
Besides the normal time, this clock shows a bunch of things like world population growth.
On July 31st, 2007 at one instant there were 6,611,567,299 people in the world. Per this taosplaza.com update on Jun 3, 2008, the number is 6.671.731,490. Per the upgrade of January 2010, the number is 6.796.620,064. It's way past that now - like thousands more just in a very short time. It's growing so fast you almost can't see it change.
The clock is counting the number of births and deaths, counting the rise in global temperature. Species extinct, acres of forest lost, divorces, abortions, HIV infections, oil produced, prison growth - How about those statistics?
You might find it interesting how many cars, bicycles, and computers are being manufactured literally every second. The clock counts the number of deaths that are occuring and breaks it down into causes of the deaths. This may seem a bit morbid but it's really quite fascinating.
